What Is Sentence case?
Sentence case capitalizes the first letter of each sentence and any proper nouns, leaving every other word lowercase. It is the default style in newspapers, modern app UIs, casual blog posts, and most academic citation reference titles. The full rules and examples live on the what is sentence case page.
When to Use Sentence case
Use sentence case for news headlines, modern UI copy (button labels, menu items, section headers), email subject lines, casual blog post titles, and APA-style reference list entries. For book titles, formal paper titles, and most marketing headlines, use title case instead.
